Sally Mason, Photomontage Tutor, 2011
I enjoy being a tutor at the Hanmer Autumn School – such a magnificent location! My classes in photomontage are a delight to teach, smallish numbers – but that means more individual attention for each student. It is a very concentrated weekend, with us having to finish by mid-afternoon on the Sunday. My weekend classes usually involve two full days – and THEY are both full-on, just to get through the work, and send them all home with a finished montage. The organization is great – and the venue at the school means that students can pop between classrooms and see what others are doing.
Ali Brown, Flax-weaving Tutor, 2011
I thoroughly enjoyed tutoring flax weaving at the Amuri Arts Autumn School. The event was well-organised and the arts council were very gracious hosts. The students were enthusiastic and made several flaxworks over the 2 days. A good weekend altogether.
Judy Brown, Mosaic Workshop Tutor, 2011
My feedback is 100% positive, the venue and accommodation was wonderful. Sue did a great job as did the others that helped to organise such a great weekend.
I had a lovely group of students who did some amazing work, making garden mirrors and planters. They all came prepared and some even had a design plan drawn ready.
The finished peices were amazing. It was a busy but totally enjoyable weekend.
